Membership in the orchestra is gained through audition or by invitation of the conductor.
Open auditions will be held on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023 in the Main Banquet Hall at the First United Methodist church, starting at 7:00 P.M. We have openings for percussionists, all strings, harp and substitute positions.
Audition requirements are two excerpts; one fast to demonstrate technique and one slow for musicality and tone quality. Principal positions will be asked to provide a resume and perform one slow and one fast excerpt of your choice.
Open auditions will take place throughout the season for string players on the first Tuesday of the month through April.
